In South Africa we celebrate Freedom Day on 27th April. Originally it commemorated the day on which our first post-apartheid elections were held in 1994, but from that day onwards it has grown to have much deeper meaning to all of us. Now, Freedom Day also celebrates the freedom of choice, the freedom of religion, sexuality and speech.
We have decided to make a WEEKEND of it…
Join us in our efforts to bring together people from all walks of life, and all belief systems in celebration of our diversity and similarity. What better way to celebrate than to share our hand-made, home grown and hand crafted wares with each other and the community? Not only is this and “old fashioned fete” but also a coming together of spirits. Present at this festival will be fire dancing, drumming, music, a sweat lodge, assorted artists, stalls, a sangoma speaker, talks on a variety of topics and much, much more….
Stalls available @ R150, weekend camping @ R50 per tent, safe parking @ R10 per car.
NO ENTRANCE FEE!
Children welcome! Pets on leashes welcome.
